Dr. Mitros was born and raised in Iowa City. He completed undergraduate studies at the University of Notre Dame. This was followed by medical school at the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine. He completed his residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at the University of Iowa followed by surgical pathology and cytopathology fellowships at the same institution. Outside of work he enjoys traveling to both new and familiar locales with his wife and daughter.
