Jacob E. Sramek, M.D.
Biography
Dr. Sramek is a board-certified pathologist with over a decade of experience in anatomic, clinical, and hematopathology. He began his medical journey at the University of Iowa, where he earned his medical degree, and went on to complete his residency in anatomic and clinical pathology at Penrose-St. Francis Health Services. Further specializing in hematopathology, Dr. Sramek completed his fellowship at the University of New Mexico.
Since joining IPA in July 2011, Dr. Sramek has brought a meticulous, analytical approach to the diagnosis and study of disease, with a particular focus on hematologic disorders. He is known for his commitment to diagnostic precision and his collaborative work with clinicians to guide patient care.
Outside of his professional life, Dr. Sramek is an avid outdoors enthusiast with a wide range of interests. He enjoys beekeeping, fossil hunting, and making maple syrup—activities that reflect his deep appreciation for science, nature, and hands-on discovery.
